Welcome to An Kang Acupuncture
and Herbal Clinic.
Dr. Yunpeng Luo will be your health care provider. Dr. Luo offers a holistic,
compassionate and educational approach to healing. He can not only treat your
discomfort, pain, and impairments, but also enhance your wellness for a healthy and happier life.
Our name, “An Kang", is two Chinese characters meaning “Peaceful Heart and Good Health.” Our name reflects our genuine desire for each and every one of us to live a peaceful and healthy life, physically, mentally, and spiritually. When you treat with us, we will work with you for your peaceful heart and good health. Dr. Luo became interested in healing people when he was a young man in China. Inspired by his grandmother, a very skilled herbalist, who often helped people heal with herbs in their community, Dr. Luo developed a strong passion for helping people heal with Chinese medicine. At the age of 16, he began his formal education in Traditional Chinese Medicine by entering a medical university in China. As in the U.S., medical training in China requires many years of study. Dr. Luo completed 8 years of formal and intensive education in traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine. Dr. Luo brings to his practice his years of education, training with masters, and over 20 years of teaching, research, and clinical experience in China and the U.S. He is widely recognized by his colleagues and patients as an exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist. Over the years, Dr. Luo has developed an interest in “hard to treat” conditions, and his ability in this regard caused him to be featured in Portland Monthly in January 2008, with the article describing how he used traditional Chinese medicine to heal a teen suffering from an unusual blood condition which could not be resolved with western medicine.
